Introducing Snapshots: Create Snapshhots or Backup and Restore Your Instance Easily

We’ve added a new feature in Claudion called Snapshot — a manual backup option that lets you create a backup account for your existing instance anytime.

How Does It Work?

  1. You are working on an ERP system or cloud-based app inside Claudion.
  2. Before making changes (e.g., script updates, app installations, testing configurations), you go to the Snapshot option.
  3. Click to create a new snapshot — it takes a few seconds to capture the full state of your instance.
  4. Now you are free to test, update, or make changes.
  5. If everything works well — continue using the instance as normal.
  6. If something goes wrong — restore the instance using the saved snapshot, and your system is instantly back to its earlier state.

Why Was This Feature Added?

  1. Testing:Before working on the live system, you can test on a backup instance created through snapshot.
  2. Development:Developers can try new features without risk.
  3. Debugging:Helps in reproducing bugs safely without affecting the main environment.
  4. Protection: If something fails or crashes, you don’t lose your work or settings.
