A Downtime Entry is a record used to log and track periods when a workstation, machine, or production line is not operational. This helps identify issues affecting productivity and allows for better planning and resource utilization.

Key Details in a Downtime Entry:
- Workstation:The machine or area where downtime occurred.
- Start and End Time: The duration of the downtime.
- Reason:The cause of the downtime, such as maintenance, machine failure, or lack of materials.
- Work Order (Optional): Links to the related work order if downtime affects a specific production task.
- Remarks:Additional notes about the downtime or corrective actions taken.
Purpose of Downtime Entry:
- To monitor and analyse production inefficiencies.
- To identify frequent causes of downtime and address them.
- To improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
