In Frappe CRM, a Task is a tool to help you stay organized and ensure that important actions related to your leads, deals, contacts, or organizations are completed on time. Tasks are designed to streamline your workflow and make it easy to manage your day-to-day responsibilities.

Benefits of Task:

  1. Track All Tasks: View your complete list of tasks, including upcoming deadlines and those you’ve already completed, to stay organized.
  2. Plan & Prioritize: Review key task details like due dates, priority levels, and assigned users to focus on what matters most.
  3. Manage Effortlessly: Update task statuses, make edits, and mark tasks as complete to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Task Creation: -

  1. Title: Think of a short name for the task that describes it well. For example, instead of "Call," write "Follow up with client about proposal." This helps you quickly identify the task later.
  2. Description: Write a detailed explanation of what needs to be done. For example, if the task is about preparing a report, include what kind of data is needed and who it’s for. This ensures no one is left guessing.
  3. Status: Update the task’s current progress. For instance, if you just started working on it, mark it as "In Progress." Once it’s done, change the status to "Completed."
  4. Assignee: Decide who will do the task. It could be you or another teammate. This ensures everyone knows their responsibilities.
  5. Due Date: Add a deadline to keep yourself or your team on track. This is especially useful for tasks with a strict timeline.
  6. Priority: Decide how urgent the task is (eg: High, Medium or Low). This helps you focus on what’s most important first.
